21th EDITION
Twenty-one years used to be a sort of “coming of age”. One became an adult at twenty-one. So with this 21st edition Il Cinema Ritrovato, at least on paper, has come of age. Only on paper though, because as we all know, the somewhat maniacal passion of the collector, like the decidedly fetishist one of the archaeologist and the (liberating) one of the idler common (and secret) denominators in our audience of old and new cinephiles – are deeply rooted in childhood: a child touches, smells, and tastes everything that he comes across with the unbridled pleasure of discovery, rediscovery, knowledge.
