IL CINEMA RITROVATO 2003

17th EDITION

The new premises of the Cineteca del Comune di Bologna will be opened along with the festival, and with them two new cinemas – ready to bring us happiness for the full eight days of our stay in Bologna. And that is definitely our aim again – the pure enjoyment of the essentials that can include marvelling at early pictures that move, the miracle of the large screen, the overwhelming experience of seeing a long lost and rightly famous film reborn, and maybe witnessing a remarkable meditation about the nature of film and its creation, for instance, the already famous lecture of Robert Gitt as he presents the outtakes of Charles Laughton’s The Night of the Hunter.
