A diptych program. Fifty years after Nicole Védrès, Alain Fleischer proposes an exact completion to Paris 1900. Starting from documentary images, Védrès shows the imagery of an era, how it dreamed of being, or rather, the spirit Walter Benjamin sought out in nineteenth century Paris. Fleischer has made a documentary portrait of the début du siècle by using clips of fiction.
