The life of factory-worker Giuseppe Santini in the event of a Communist victory, according to the Comitato Civico Nazionale. In step with the revelation rhetoric regarding the reality hidden behind the PCI’s lies, this film weaves a tragic tale in order to unmask the Communist one.
Thirty years after the advent of Communism, it is time to come to terms with its true essence. The toll is high for the worker, in this case Giuseppe Santini, the protagonist of this tragic fable and victim of Communism. For this film, which was one of the most constructed propaganda films of the Comitati Civici, Marcello Baldi wrote, organized, visualized Neo-realist spaces and adapted them for the studios, and went to Abruzzo to shoot scenes in the snow. He wanted his actor, who was fresh out of the Accademia, to enact the tragedy of someone who had chosen Communism, and the oblivion of someone who finds on the ballot the name of the candidate Joseph Stalin, repeated infinitely.
