[MOVIE]
16mm. D.: 2’. Col. Sonoro
The crucial image in the film (from The Sand Pebbles, R. Wise, 1966) is a shot reverse shot (Steve McQueen, steely expression, pure contemplation; an anonymous Asian man, tortured, bare-chested and bloody, held up by his torturer) which is expanded and developed upon by a series of materials as violent as they are disparate (fragments of dance, commercials, brand labels, writings…).
