Il Cinema Ritrovato is a festival with an identity which we have tried, over the past twelve years, to strengthen and define more clearly. This is a festival dedicated to the work of film archives, created for an increasingly varied and international audience of scholars, historians, experts, organisers and archivists as well as cinema lovers, to give them the possibility of watching new ver- sions of film classics, unveiling hidden masterpieces and bringing obscure parts of film history back to life.
