[MOVIE]
Scen.: Len Lye; Prod.: Len Lye, Robert Graves, per The Film Society; 35mm. D.: 9’ a 24 f/s. Bn.
In making his first film, produced over two years, Len Lye tried to imagine he was an Australian Aboriginal creating a creation myth on film. The Film Society in London and the poet Robert Graves helped with production and funding. The drawings’ visual style came from the primitive art and the cell structures of plants and animals that fascinated Lye. The title is drawn from a Polynesian word, meaning “everything comes full circle”.
