As well-known, the finale of the sovietic version of The General Line was censored by Stalin himself; Ejzenstejn’s original version was inspired by Chaplin’s The Woman of Paris. What is less known is the fact that also sovietic version’s finale of Chaplin’s film was censored. All the ‘four endings’ will be screened.
