Film notes

Another film as rare as surprising. Rapt is due to an a productive effort of Stefan Markus, who was born in Zurich but had his experience as producer in Paris, who founded Markus Film company and started his activity with this Rapt, definitely a strange film with many reasons of interest: an international cast, the use of bilinguism (actors speak their own language), music written by Honegger-Hoérée, a “silent” style inspired by the avant -garde spirit of Kirshanov. The film was a flop, and this caused the end of Mentor-Film. Only Dita Parlo take advantage of the film to start her career.
