On the occasion of the publication of Jean Renoir’s biography of his father, Renoir, My Father, the BBC sent interviewer Hugh Wheldon to talk to Renoir at his family home in Cagnes, in southern France, where his father spent the last part of his life. Renoir walks around the property speaking with great enthusiasm in a vivid, wide-ranging discussion of his father’s ideas and his daily life.
