For the twentieth anniversary of the Revolution, Romm was asked to direct a film about those events. The film had to emphasize Stalin’s role. After Stalin’s death, Romm went back to the film and cancelled, by various means, the presence of Stalin. MrFritz Gottler of the MünchnerFilmmuseum will introduce the film and show some excerpts of version censored by the director himself.
