Film notes

Madame de la Grange, a cheerful and aristocratic grandmother, leaves her wonderful property to her son. However, relations with her young daughter-in-law deteriorate, which soon force her to leave the home and most of all to distance herself from her beloved grandson who also adores her. The child, who falls asleep every night clutching a picture of his grandmother to his chest, falls sick. On Christmas eve, while instructing her chauffeur to take some gifts to her grandson, Madame de la Grange decides to go to the castle in person …
