Le cascate del Reno (The Reno Falls) is a scenic documentary made up of different views of the largest falls in Europe, situated on the Swiss-German borders. The film shows -through a number of shots taken from various distances – the stone arch bridge crossing the falls, water whirlpools and eddies, shots of the landscape visible from the panoramic points and the promenades on the banks. The viewpoint is set to enhance the magnificence of the falls, so much so that in some shots the water nearly fills the whole screen. Rowing boats plough through the river. The film ends with a pan across the falls at a sunset with a composition of orange tinting and green toning.
