A penniless troubadour pays a visit to the famous witch Carabosse to know what the future holds for him. He pays the witch with a bag of sand. Enraged, Carabosse swears revenge. After several attempts, the troubadour frees the beautiful imprisoned princess that the witch revealed to him. The two marry, and the good druid sends the witch to the bottom of the sea.
