A Sascha trickfilm about perforating, taking, developing and printing a film. One of the very first films reflecting not just the medium itself but especially it’s technical aspects. The production company Sascha took equipment from the best: the Pathé camera “modelle professionel”, the Pathé printer, the Debrie perforator, the Debrie naming and brushing machine as well as the Debrie cleaning machine; the developing facilities were of the French system (drums for developing were preferred in England). The maker of the film, Ludwig Schaschek (1888-1948) was in Autria a well known cameraman of the silent period.
