The Flicker Flashbacks was a 1940s series made by RKO. They were pastiches of cinema programs and Biograph films from the 10s, produced by Richard Fleischer and which served as cheap comic shorts. Episode N. 13 contains the most hilarious of the two versions they cut of D.W. Griffith’s The Message of the Violin (1910), “a drama of violinist who seeks and finds love and happiness”.
