Regarded as the first film produced by the Ministry of Agriculture. Divided into six parts, the first – focused on industry – is presented here; from the manufacturing of tractors in a factory to their deployment in a cultivated field, the rural viewer, for whom this film was intended, is invited to marvel at the power and efficiency of the modern machinery that France makes available. With its numerous tracking shots, spectacular scenes of gigantic factories overflowing with raw materials, manufactured goods, workers in action, and integrated colourised footage probably borrowed from other newsreels, this film is also a digest of cinematographic writing.
