Edition History
A race against time, literally. Here obsession lurks in the symbolic places of the bourgeois social ritual: the living room, the cafe and the barber. It is New Year’s Eve 1910. The repetition of holiday wishes and calendar offers exasperates Ernesto Vaser to madness. He hits whoever is in range, runs away and fidgets about. He ends up in jail. But time does not stop and chases us everywhere. Even in a spartan cell, in a pre-ending with a surrealist feel. Almanacs multiply in a frenetic dance. The moon winks.
