[MOVIE]
Kinemacolor’s producer, Charles Urban, was an avid huntsman. He had produced a notable monochrome film in 1904, Hunting the Red Deer with the Devon and Somerset Staghounds, and this film was probably designed to replicate its success. Although Kinemacolor was not intentionally filmed with stereoscopy, or 3D, in mind, several commentators remarked upon its occasional stereoscopic effect.
