IL CINEMA RITROVATO ON TOUR / USA: Minneapolis and Washington

The 4th edition of Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour brings rare and restored films from Bologna’s annual archival film festival to the Twin Cities.
Curated by Archives on Screen, Twin Cities, Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour returns to the Twin Cities for a fourth year, presenting rare, restored, and recovered archival cinema. This year’s Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour will take place at two venues, screening films on February 12, 14, and 15 at the Main Cinema, and on February 13 at the Walker Art Center. Presented in partnership with Archives on Screen, the MSP Film Society, and Cineteca di Bologna, the festival screens highlights from Il Cinema Ritrovato’s 2025 lineup.

The sixth Mid-Atlantic edition of the restored film festival Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour (Re-discovered Cinema on Tour) takes place from March 4 through March 8, 2026 across the DMV area.
Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour is an initiative of the Italian Program and the Program in Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. The festival is generously co-sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute at the Embassy of Italy and presented in partnership with the Bologna Film Archive, Italy (Cineteca di Bologna), AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center, and the National Gallery of Art.
