“Length: 138m. (6 min.), almost complete, the captions are missing and, perhaps, the finale; at the beginning of the film a brief fragment of Gaumont in which one sees a young girl holding a card in her hand with the words Entr’acte written on it.

The first part of the film which takes place in the Raja’s palace is not coloured. An exception is a “special effect” which lasts for only a few frames: the wizard makes a flame appear three times, coloured in yellow/red. When the wizard, having stolen a casket thanks to his tricks, escapes on the back of a dragon, colour enters the scene. The wizard is yellow and pink, the dragon is green and the fire which escapes from its mouth, is red. All this on a black background. The entrance to the cave where the wizard has taken the casket, is still without colour. In the underground world, however, the colouring goes crazy. The dancers go from blue to yellow, from yellow green and green pink. The décor changes form and colour many times. The Raja, who had for a while taken on a yellow colour, in the finale loses it and remains in black and white”.
