Film Notes

To console himself after having been abandoned by his wife, Boireau goes for a swim. Along the road he sees a delightful girl and, in the wake of her beauty, he heads for the salty water. Tricked by the similar figure Boireau abandons himself to a daring act, obtaining in exchange a resounding slap. Coming to his senses he discovers the husband of the delightful bather that observes the scene amused. Having finished his swim, Boireau does not give up so easily and enjoys himself watching her get dressed through the gaps in the canvas. In the meantime her husband and Boireau’s wife arrive on the scene so that after a sound beating our hero’s gallant ambitions are cooled down.
