Once again music takes centre stage (and centre screen) of Il Cinema Ritrovato festival. A programme full of musical events<\/strong>, spotted around the festival venues.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The first event to take note (Saturday June 24th, 4 pm, Cinema Jolly) is Rouben Mamoulian’s short film The Flute of Krishna<\/em><\/a> (USA\/1926), which will be accompanied by Stephen Horne<\/strong> on flute.\u00a0 Don’t forget to pass by the Bookfair<\/strong>, where there is an area reserved for CAM Sugar<\/strong>‘s collection of vinyls and vintage discs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Sorry, this entry is only available in Italiano. \nThe Orchestra of Teatro Comunale di Bologna<\/strong> returns to the Piazza Maggiore stage for two breathtaking cineconcerts to be conducted by Timothy Brock<\/strong>.
\nThe masterpieces with full orchestral accompaniment are Stella Dallas<\/em><\/a> by Henry King (26 June), featuring a score by Stephen Horne, and Ernst Lubitsch\u2019s Lady Windermere\u2019s Fan<\/em><\/a> (30 June) with a score by Timothy Brock.
\nOn 25 June, in the more intimate setting of Piazzetta Pasolini, the fantastic duo of Frank Bockius<\/strong> (drums) and John Sweeney<\/strong> (piano) will provide the music for a journey into the \u201cBest of\u201d cinema in the year 1903<\/em><\/a><\/strong>. The mesmerising light and smoke of the carbon arc projector will enhance the magic.
\nThe dreamlike La Voix du rossignol<\/em><\/a> and the comical La fuga di Socrate<\/em><\/a> on 28 June will again be accompanied by Frank Bockius, this time with Daniele Furlati<\/strong> on piano.
\nA day later, on 29 June La Souriante Madame Beudet<\/em><\/a> by Germaine Dulac takes the spotlight, interpreted by the unique sonic incursions of Stefano Pilia<\/strong> and Valentina Magaletti<\/strong>.
\nThe final evening in the Piazzetta, 1 July, will be a 1960s musical party, entirely dedicated to the 16mm screening of Scopitone<\/strong><\/a>, the mother of all music videos.<\/p>\n
