The areas in which the 16mm format was and is used are very diverse.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->For this reason, we decided to join forces with the independent film institution <strong>Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que16 from Paris<\/strong> and jointly present a selection from its eclectic collection of vintage prints, which covers many aspects of this format: tinted silent films, early advertisments, <strong>scopitones<\/strong>, home-movie versions of famous horror features, trailers of lost silent films and artistic gems in fiction and nonfiction filmmaking. The second chapter of this year\u2019s programme is dedicated to <strong>experimental filmmaking from Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong> and the whole of Canada. The selection offers, among other delights, the opportunity to (re)discover the experimental works of filmmakers such as <strong>Joyce Wieland<\/strong> and <strong>Etienne O\u2019Leary<\/strong>, who are represented each with an individual programme.<\/p>\n<p>Curated by\u00a0<strong>Karl Wratschko<\/strong>\u00a0in collaboration with\u00a0<strong>Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que16<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Andr\u00e9 Habib<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sorry, this entry is only available in Italiano.
