All in all, Albert Samama can no longer be considered a marginal note in the history of cinema, an ephemeral and exotic presence: he was a pioneer, a leading figure of the early days of cinema and <strong>the first filmmaker of the African continent<\/strong>. Il Cinema Ritrovato is set to reveal, over the next few years, the extent and articulations of his legacy. We begin with a first selection of restorations \u2013 actuality films and newsreels \u2013 from the original negatives preserved by <strong>Gaumont Path\u00e9 Archives<\/strong> and a spectacular find from <strong>La Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que fran\u00e7aise<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Curated by\u00a0<strong>Mariann Lewinsky<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Cecilia Cenciarelli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sorry, this entry is only available in Italiano.
