The 19th MoMA International Festival of Film Preservation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>January 16th\u201330th, 2023,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.moma.org\/calendar\/film\/5549\"><strong>MoMA\u2019s annual festival<\/strong><\/a> dedicated to celebrating newly preserved and restored films from archives, studios, distributors, foundations, and independent filmmakers from around the world returns in its 19th edition.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->This year\u2019s program will open and close with the world restoration premieres of two major silent films from MoMA\u2019s archive: Paul Leni\u2019s horror comedy <em>The Cat and the Canary<\/em>\u00a0(1927) and Ernst Lubitsch\u2019s comedy\u00a0<em>The Marriage Circle<\/em>\u00a0(1924), respectively.
