Film Notes

Unfortunately, no good prints of this Fairbanks’ film have survived. The only original print on 35mm that we could locate was found in Italy, at the Fondazione Cineteca Italiana di Milano; this tinted print, with italian intertitles was the source of the version that we can show today. The print was not made from the original camera negative, but from a dupe negative, made in the silent era; this is the reason for the low quality of the images of this versios; most probably this was due to the fact that the film was released in Italy in the Twenties, when Fairbanks was already famous.
