Forse uno dei migliori film-opera mai realizzati. Il film venne concepito per il suono stereofonico e finalmente si ha l’occasione di vederlo e sentirlo in questa versione, per gustarsi l’ottima regia di Preminger e le stupende voci della Horne, di Hutcherson e di Hayes.
