This fragment is in reality a discovery of an extraordinary importance. In fact, from Lyda Borelli’s very first films, only the original negatives have survived, but without titles and colourings.
Ma l’amor mio non muore was presented last year by La Cineteca Italiana during Le Giornate del Cinema Muto in Pordenone. The print was absolutly complete, with a great photographical quality, but with a few un-original titles. For this reason, the recovering of the first reel can allow a better understanding of the film construction, the image and titles succession, the text of the titles, the chromatic choices of a key-work in the Italian mute Cinema.
